The Middle East

I used to hear about The Shah of Iran and how great it was over there before the Allolalia take-over. Now living under a government of Islamic fundamentalism, the country has been a hot bed of hate and fear for it's people as well as the rest of the world. So now with the awareness that freedom might actually be in their very own hands, more and more people are taking to the streets knowing they might be among the many thousands who have already been killed for daring to protest. But after 50 years of political repression, change will not be easy. And as with most forced change.....it might even take a war. So it is. Political chaos and frightening times are happening now in the Middle East. Of course the US and Israel are in the middle of it. Nice to have powerful friends but as with everything, change brings fear and often it's own consequences. While most in Iran and even around the world are dancing in the street for JOY and renewed hope- many here in the land of opportunity- are protesting with a new reason to blame and hate the one man- the one President who has the courage to take action. History will tell if he goes down as a the Churchill of his time or end up being prosecuted for.....well for everything he has ever done. Too much freedom has it's own dangers.
And I was just in Dubai!!! Sitting all-to-close to Iran on the map, Dubai was a wonder to see. (read my travel log) It was a perfect world of what could be. But one can never trust all their neighbors. And sure enough, it too has been attacked and now drawn into it's own battle for survival. Very depressing. I don't think there is a perfect right or wrong but I definitely am grateful for our President at this time. GOD bless the USA.
