USS MIDWAY

I found it. I found an amazing new place to volunteer. The Midway is an aircraft carrier docked right here in San Diego- now here for all to tour as a museum. The stats of this huge vessel are amazing in themself but the opportunity to tour inside the carrier is a unique experience to say the least. I am now a volunteer in the "safety" department. I give good tours but must admit that I'm still learning a lot about where things are located and how to get there. I'm sure it'll be a lifetime of new awareness and the history and education of WW11, aircraft and those who served and gave so much for our country. LOVE IT.

Speaking of history....I continue to like writing. I'm writing my third book. It's a lot about history, our Presidents and our country. I am trying to sum up mostly just the "facts"- policy and changes since 1945.  It started out easy enough but now, the world is in a spiral of changing too quickly. It is out of control and the consequences are hate and destruction. Policies are run more by emotion and unrealistic promises than being able to tell the truth by the rules of simple math. I don't know if anyone wants to accept the cost of self-reliance. But the change without it, has a much bigger cost to society. Scary reality but a fascinating time in history. Anyway, back to the Midway, if you live here or are visiting our beautiful city, take time to visit this living museum. It's a gift.
